Models of Humanism in Ancient China: An Explanation Centered on Early Confucian Ethics

In China, humanism, especially within the framework of Confucian ethics, developed quite differently from humanist discourses in Europe. Therefore, it is important to understand origins and development ideas that place human beings at center culture cosmos. Through lens cultural particularities this knowledge can help us gain a more complex multi-layered insight into universal factors make up nature. This paper critically examines foundations, development, distinctive features traditional Chinese which emerged classical teachings. Beginning with an analysis view relationship between individual society, author explains conceptual origin historical various models humanism tradition. The then sheds light on reasons for transition religions humanities took China during Axial Age, highlights implications manifested ethics its search better social order.
